A 4-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy wounded in the same attack were among at least six people who have been wounded in Chicago shootings since early Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

In the most recent shooting, the girl and the teenage boy were both in good condition after being shot about 9 p.m. in the 4700 block of West North Avenue, near Cicero Avenue, according to a police media notification.

The two were in a vehicle when someone drove up in another vehicle and someone inside started shooting, hitting the girl in the ankle and the boy in the leg. Both were taken to Stroger Hospital for treatment.

Earlier, a man was shot by police about 8 p.m. in the 4200 block of South Ashland Avenue, according to authorities.

In other shootings:

  • A 16-year-old boy and a 45-year-old man were shot in separate attacks within a few minutes of each other Sunday afternoon in the West Garfield Park neighborhood. About 1:35 p.m., police were called to the 4200 block of West Jackson Boulevard for a report of shots fired. They found a 16-year-old boy who had one gunshot wound to the leg, according to a police media notification. The teen was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in good condition, police said. Detectives were investigating and no one had been arrested as of Sunday afternoon.
  • Just before 1:30 p.m. in the 4200 block of West Washington Boulevard, police found a man, 45, with a gunshot wound to his lower left leg, police said. The man was on foot when a vehicle he didn’t recognize slowed and someone inside opened fire on him, he told police. The vehicle then drove off. The man also was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said. A police spokeswoman said she had not been notified that there was any connection between the two shootings as of Sunday evening.
